Brushing Away Stress: Synesthetic Watercolor with Joleen Vincent

Brushing Away Stress: Synesthetic Watercolor is a guided experience that explores the natural connection between sound, emotion, and visual expression. In this 60-minute class, participants are invited to listen to music or ambient sounds and translate what they hear and feel into color, line, shape, and movement using watercolor.

Rather than focusing on technical skill, the emphasis will be on sensory awareness, intuitive mark-making, and emotive flow. Participants will briefly reflect on how artists draw inspiration from sound and emotion, then create a personal artwork based on music that resonates with them in the moment.

Guests are welcome to bring their own music. Please bring earbuds or headphones if you plan to use a personal playlist.

All materials are provided. No prior art experience is required.

Suggested donation of $15 for materials. No one turned away for lack of funds.
